Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the Pomodoro Technique?
- The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that uses timed intervals: 25 minutes of focused work followed by a 5-minute break. After 4 work sessions (pomodoros), take a longer 15-minute break. It helps maintain focus and prevent burnout.
- Can I customize the timer durations?
- Yes! You can adjust the work duration (1-120 minutes), short break (1-60 minutes), and long break (1-60 minutes) in the Settings section. Changes apply when the timer is paused.
- What happens when a session ends?
- An audio notification plays when the timer reaches zero. If auto-advance is enabled, the next session starts automatically. Work sessions are followed by breaks, and every 4th pomodoro triggers a long break.
- How are daily stats tracked?
- The timer tracks completed pomodoros and total focus time for the current day. Stats reset at midnight. Focus time only counts completed work sessions, not breaks.
- Why does the timer use a circular display?
- The circular countdown provides an intuitive visual of remaining time. The color changes between red (work) and green (break) so you can see your current session type at a glance.
